In this course, IM Pruess explains important strategic elements like King movement, shouldering, queening races, the opposition, anti-opposition, reserve tempi, winning squares, corresponding squares, files of operation, and more, while also demonstrating a bunch of tactical tricks and how to calculate effectively. Many of the endgames covered feature a separate video on solving technique, with useful tips on thought process for aspiring solvers and practical players. Each week, a new endgame study is offered and the students have a week to think about it before the release of explanatory video(s) and the next week’s position.
